In Kenya, pastoral ministry often relies on personal sacrifice. Martin, who
receives no fixed income, supports his family by farming corn on a small plot of
land, which he shares with his church community. In addition to pastoring, he volunteers as a community social worker, occasionally receiving small tokens of appreciation for his dedication. “Patricia and I enjoy doing God’s work together despite the challenges,” he says. “We love ministry more than anything and pray we can always say ‘yes’ whenever He calls.”
