Disu Manandhar

Training Leader, Serve4Change Nepal

Born and raised in Kathmandu, Ms. Disu Manandhar has dedicated over 23
years to the field of education, shaping the minds of children from ages 2 to
21. Her extensive experience as an educator, counselor, and child
development expert has equipped her with the skills to nurture and guide
children through crucial stages of growth. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in
child development, Disu is committed to creating positive change in both
the educational and parenting landscapes of Nepal.

In her role as a training leader with Serve4Change, Disu conducts parent
training sessions that address critical issues such as common parenting
mistakes, the effects of screen time, the impact of junk food, and the
importance of fostering healthy communication between parents and
children. Her goal is to empower families with the knowledge and tools
they need to raise confident, well-rounded individuals. Passionate about
transforming the future of education in Nepal, Disu envisions an
environment where parents and children grow together, supported by
effective, compassionate learning strategies.

MEANINGFUL

Shirjana Pokharel

Training Leader, Serve4Change Nepal

Ms. Shirjana Pokharel is an Early Childhood Development (ECD) certified
trainer, an International Childhood Development Program (ICDP) facilitator,
and the Principal/Founder of Ankur Pre-School in Kathmandu, where she
has passionately served for over a decade. Her dedication to shaping the
early years of children’s lives is evident in her work as both an educator and
a mentor to fellow teachers.

Shirjana has been working tirelessly in professional training and
collaboration throughout the Kathmandu area, focusing on enhancing the
skills of educators through workshops and hands-on experiences. Her
expertise extends to creative curriculum development, classroom
management, crafting educational materials, storytelling, and game
design, making learning both engaging and meaningful.

Muna Karki

Training & Teacher Relations, Serve4Change Nepal

Ms. Muna Karki is a dedicated educator with nearly a decade of experience
working with middle and secondary school students. Her commitment to
educational excellence led her to complete the intensive Primary Teacher’s
Training Program (PTTP), a collaborative effort between Rato Bangala
School, London’s Bank Street College of Education, and Kathmandu
University.

As the co-founder of Bramha Kunja School, Muna plays a vital role as both
an administrator and a teacher trainer. Her passion lies in helping
educators enhance their teaching methods and stay informed about the
latest trends in education. She is equally devoted to ensuring that children
receive the highest quality education, tailored to their unique intelligence
and learning styles, so they can grow into compassionate, capable adults
ready to lead and serve.

INNOVATIVE

Anil Pandit

Training & Teacher Relations, Serve4Change Nepal

Mr. Anil Pandit is an active and dynamic principal from Kathmandu, with
over two decades of experience in education. He holds a master’s degree in Developmental Studies and has been teaching since 2000. As the co- founder and principal of Bramha Kunja Shikshya Sadan, a PreK–10th grade school now celebrating its tenth academic year, Anil has dedicated his career to building a well-rounded, nurturing environment for students.

In his work as an educator, administrator, and counselor, Anil is committed
to fostering the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of
every student. Known for his innovative approach to school leadership, Anil
continuously strives to elevate educational standards and inspire
excellence, making him a trusted and respected figure in the local
educational community.
